On Wednesday, 1/27,2021, we will have our Family Night – Advocacy for Immigrant Families. On behalf of the January committee, we would like to extend an invitation to Equitas staff, scholars, and families. One of America’s remarkable things is that nearly all of our families originally came from someplace else. It’s a source of our strength as a people and something we at EQ2 are working to celebrate and honor.
Our host @Elizabeth Hermosillo@Gabe Romero will be facilitating a discussion with our panelists centered on the following questions:
- What motivated you to become an advocate for immigrant families?
- What is the documentation process in becoming a DACA recipient? (forms to file, costs, etc)
- What resources are available to undocumeted communities during COVID?
If you have any additional questions, you would like for us to include feel free to email me today by 5pm. Otherwise feel free to type them tomorrow in the chat. We look forward to seeing you all very soon!

Our guest panelists are from the following organizations. I highly recommend familiarizing yourself with the different initiatives each organization is working on to further advocate for immigrant families.
Please feel free to extend an invitation to all of our EQ2 families who are interested in learning more about DACA. Thank you in advance for your support in sharing the resources and events to Equitas families and staff.
